* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Central Athens County in southeastern Ohio...
Southwestern Morgan County in southeastern Ohio...
Northeastern Vinton County in southeastern Ohio...
West Central Washington County in southeastern Ohio...
* WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain
closed due to flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 820 PM EDT, Department of highways reported flooding was
continuing across much of the county from previous heavy rains.
Some roads remain closed due to high water.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Athens, Nelsonville, Lake Hope State Park, Chauncey, Buchtel,
Amesville, The Plains, and Stroud Run State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
