The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...

  Spartanburg County in upstate South Carolina...

* Until 430 AM EDT.

* At 1050 PM EDT, Earlier today, a prolonged period of steady

  rainfall produced 2.5-4 inches across Spartanburg County,

  flooding. Doppler radar shows an axis of torrential rainfall has

  moved into Spartanburg County from the south, capable of producing

  1-2 inches of rainfall on top of saturated soils. This rainfall

  will exacerbate areas of ongoing nuisance flooding and cause new

  areas of flooding to develop. The heaviest rainfall is currently

  impacting Cross Anchor, Enoree, and Pauiine.

* Areas of greatest concern include along Lawsons Fork Creek and

  Meadow Creek near Inman; the South Pacolet River, Motlow Creek, and

  Holston Creek near Campobello; Bear Creek and Obed Creek north of

  Lake Bowen; and areas near Croft State Park. Earlier, Glendale
