...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT SUNDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas,
Bureau, Henry IL and Putnam and southeast Iowa, including the
following area, Keokuk.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM CDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Widespread showers and storms are expected to develop late
tonight and last into Saturday. These storms will be capable of
rainfall rates between 1 to 2 inches per hour. Rainfall totals of
1 to 3 inches are likely in the hardest hit areas through
Saturday evening with the potential for localized areas of 3+
inches.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flash
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
