The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southern Garfield County in southern Utah...
North Central Kane County in southern Utah...
* Until 430 PM MDT.
* At 126 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across areas southeast of Bryce Canyon, including
Tropic, Bull Valley Gorge, Willis Creek, Sheep Creek, Herm Pollock
Slot Canyon, and upper reaches of the Paria River. Up to 0.75
inches of rain have fallen thus far. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks, streams,
slot canyons, and normally dry washes.

Bryce Canyon National Park, Tropic, Cannonville and Kodachrome
Basin State Park.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
