...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM CDT SATURDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Missouri, including the
following counties, Howell, Oregon and Shannon.
* WHEN...Until 300 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1106 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- This includes the following low water crossings...
Warm Fork Spring River at County Road 323, Whites Creek at
Highway K, Frederick Creek at Highway A, Hurricane Creek at
Highway U and Piney Creek at County Road 228.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
