...Observed flooding changed to Minor severity and increased in
duration for the following rivers in Ohio...
Muskingum River At Beverly affecting Morgan and Washington
Counties.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free,
800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Muskingum River at Beverly.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Low areas, and farmland, camps, and a few
homes are flooded. At 34.0 feet, Several areas near the river are
flooded. Homes, farmland, camps, several sections of Route 60, and
secondary roads near the river are flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 29.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 26.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 8:45 PM EDT Tuesday was 29.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to crest near 34.0 feet just
after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage
tomorrow afternoon.
- Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 34.8
feet on 04/03/2024.
