...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EDT WEDNESDAY...
* WHAT...Significant flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Northern Jackson County in southeastern Ohio...
Northwestern Meigs County in southeastern Ohio...
Northern Vinton County in southeastern Ohio...
* WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain
closed due to flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 813 PM EDT, Department of highways reported numerous roads
that were still flooded in the warned area due to heavy rain from
earlier heavy rainfall. Flooding is ongoing. Between 2.5 and 3.5
inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wellston, Mcarthur, Hamden, Allensville, Byer, and Eagle Mills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free,
800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
