...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM EDT THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, northeast, northern, southeast, and
  southern West Virginia, including the following counties, in
  central West Virginia, Braxton, Calhoun, Clay, Gilmer, Jackson WV,
  Roane and Taylor. In northeast West Virginia, Northwest Pocahontas,
  Northwest Randolph, Northwest Webster, Southeast Pocahontas,
  Southeast Randolph and Southeast Webster. In northern West
  Virginia, Barbour, Doddridge, Harrison, Lewis, Pleasants, Ritchie,
  Tyler, Upshur, Wirt and Wood. In southeast West Virginia, Northwest
  Fayette, Northwest Nicholas, Northwest Raleigh, Southeast Fayette,
  Southeast Nicholas and Southeast Raleigh. In southern West
  Virginia, Boone, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, McDowell, Putnam and
  Wyoming.

* WHEN...From 10 AM EDT this morning through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Abundant moisture will make showers and thunderstorms rather
    efficient rainfall producers that could prompt flash flooding
    across portions of the area. Most susceptible will be poor-
    drainage areas and locations impacted by training storms.
  - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
    Charleston, Parkersburg, Beckley, Clarksburg, Nitro, Elkins,
    Buckhannon, Grafton, Weston, Summersville, Ripley, Madison,
    Philippi, Fayetteville, Welch, Spencer, Winfield and Richwood.
