The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Carroll County in east central Ohio...
Columbiana County in east central Ohio...
Northeastern Tuscarawas County in east central Ohio...
* Until 1130 AM EDT.
* At 733 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain with more soon to arrive across the warned area. Between
0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen so far with an additional 1 to 3
inches possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

New Philadelphia, Dover, Salem, East Liverpool, Columbiana, East
Palestine, Carrollton, Calcutta, Lisbon, Strasburg, Leetonia, New
Waterford, Augusta, Salineville, Malvern, Bolivar, Mineral City,
Hanoverton, Dellroy and Sherrodsville.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
