...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM CDT SUNDAY...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS PREVIOUSLY IN EFFECT...

* WHAT...Significant flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of the following counties, Cook, DuPage, Kane,
  Kendall and Will.

* WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams will rise out of their banks.
  Extensive street flooding is occurring. Flooding of structures and
  basements is possible. High water may be slow to recede from
  flooded areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 649 PM CDT, local law enforcement, emergency dispatch
    departments, and highway departments reported widespread
    flooding across the area. Some significant flooding is
    ongoing with multiple roadways impassable and basements
    flooded. Up to 6 inches of rain have fallen due to earlier
    thunderstorms. Because heavy rainfall has ended, worsening of
    flood impacts is not expected over the next several hours.
    However, as water moves into rivers and streams, river levels
    will continue to rise. In addition, standing water in flooded
    areas will be slow to recede.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Schaumburg, Bolingbrook, Oak
    Lawn, Wheaton, Downers Grove, Bartlett, Streamwood, Carol
    Stream, Romeoville, Plainfield, Hanover Park, Glendale
    Heights, Woodridge, Oswego, Burbank, West Chicago and
    Batavia.
  - This includes the following streams and their tributaries...
    Mill Creek and Waubonse Creek near Aurora.
    West Branch DuPage River near Carol Stream, Warrenville, and
    Naperville.
    East Branch DuPage River near Morton Arboretum and Lisle.
    St Joseph Creek, Prentiss Creek, Sawmill, and Flag Creek in
    the Downers Grove, Darien, and Westmont areas.
    Lily Cache Creek in Bolinbrook and Romeoville.
