Official Bulletin

The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM PDT Saturday.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 425 and 426.

* WIND...West winds up to 5-10 mph, gust 10-15 mph. Gusty erratic
outflow winds from passing/collapsing thunderstorms can reach up
to 40-50 mph.

* HUMIDITY...15-20 percent

* THUNDERSTORMS...Thunderstorms will be mostly dry.

* HIGHEST THREAT...is located in fire zone NV425.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Dry
lightning may create new fire starts and combine with strong
outflow winds to produce rapid fire growth. Outdoor burning is
not recommended.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
lightning, dry fuel conditions, and gusty microburst winds will
create favorable conditions for new fire starts and extreme fire
behavior.
