* WHERE...Calcasieu River near Oakdale.
* WHEN...From this afternoon until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Low secondary roads near the river begin
to flood. Several houses in close proximity to the river are
subject to flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage this
afternoon to 18.1 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall
Friday evening. It will rise to 18.5 feet early Sunday
afternoon. It will then fall again but remain above flood
stage.
- Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 100.0 feet, Major flooding can be expected. Numerous
homes and camps are flooded around the lake. Water covers Highway
394 on the west end of the lake. Highway 113 downstream of
Bundicks Lake is subject to flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 97.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 1:00 PM CDT Wednesday was 97.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 100.0
