...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE
TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, northeast, south central, and
  southeast Kentucky, including the following counties, in east
  central Kentucky, Bath, Elliott, Estill, Fleming, Menifee,
  Montgomery, Powell and Rowan. In northeast Kentucky, Johnson and
  Martin. In south central Kentucky, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski,
  Rockcastle, Wayne and Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Bell,
  Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Knott, Knox, Lee, Leslie,
  Letcher, Magoffin, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike and Wolfe.

* WHEN...From 1 PM EDT this afternoon through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Thunderstorms with torrential downpours are anticipated.
    These storms could move repeatedly over a few locations
    resulting in swaths of heavy rain and isolated to scattered
    instances of flash flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
