...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...

  White River at Noblesville.

  White River at Ravenswood.

  White River near Nora.

...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Indiana...

  White River at Muncie.

  White River at Anderson.

.Major river flooding is expected. Heavy rainfall of three to well
over six inches overnight and continued rainfall today and tonight
will bring major flooding to area waterways, including the White
River in the Muncie and Anderson areas. Significant flooding is
expected further downstream in the Noblesville area, and currently
minor lowland flooding is forecast downstream of there through
Indianapolis.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Noblesville.

* WHEN...From late tonight to Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Residences in western Noblesville near SR
  32 begin to flood.  Residential areas in Riverwood and near E
  146th and E 116th Streets have water in their basements or crawl
  spaces.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 4.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    just after midnight tonight to a crest of 20.0 feet early
    Friday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early
    Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

  area.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 9.8 feet early
    Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 6.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Many homes experience basement to first
  floor flooding near White River at East 116th Street and in
  Ravenswood. River Edge roads flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 3.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 15.7 feet early
    Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
    Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Evacuations may be necessary of residents
  east of Burlington Street and south of 12th Street.  State Road 32
  east of Muncie floods.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 9.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:30 AM EDT Wednesday was 9.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.5
    feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    late Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Water nearing top of levee on right bank.
  Evacuations of the following areas in Anderson should have
  occurred: Park Place, Riverside Drive, Irondale, Alexandria Pike,
  Hollywood Estates, Phar-Mor Plaza area, Dewey Street Plant of
  Anderson Water Pollution Control, Moss Island Road, Rose Street,
  Hazlett Steet, West 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, and 7th Streets, Henry
  Street and Sycamore Street.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 6.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this afternoon to a crest of 22.1 feet tomorrow morning. It
    will then fall below flood stage late Saturday evening.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
