...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...Illinois...
Wabash River at Riverton.
.Flooding is subsiding along the Wabash River at Riverton and should
fall below flood stage on Wednesday. With more rain in the forecast
there is a chance for new flooding later in the week.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at Riverton.
* WHEN...Until Wednesday, June 24.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Some agricultural lands underwater. A few
rural roads in Crawford County, Illinois close as water backs up
Minnow Slough. High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in
Palestine. A few private roads near the Gill Township levee in
Sullivan County may flood. Water level is at the top of most
makeshift levees.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:00 PM EDT Tuesday /11:00 AM CDT Tuesday/ the stage was
15.4 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 12:00 PM EDT Tuesday /11:00 AM CDT Tuesday/ was
16.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late this
afternoon to 11.1 feet early Thursday afternoon. It will then
rise above flood stage Friday afternoon to 15.8 feet Tuesday,
June 23. It will fall below flood stage again Tuesday, June
23.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
