...The National Weather Service in Wichita KS has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Kansas...

  Neosho River near Parsons affecting Neosho and Labette Counties.

  Neosho River near Erie affecting Neosho County.

  Neosho River at Oswego affecting Cherokee and Labette Counties.

  Neosho River near Chanute affecting Neosho and Allen Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't
drown.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO WEDNESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neosho River near Parsons.

* WHEN...From late tonight to Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Flood waters spread over fields to a
  distance of 1 and one fourth miles. Several county roads, mainly
  along the left bank are inundated. Several residents which live
  along the right bank in the vicinity of Highway 400 may experience
  water entering their homes at basement levels.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 10.7 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tonight to a crest of 25.2 feet tomorrow evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage Wednesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neosho River near Erie.

* WHEN...From Monday morning to late Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Expect flooding of lowlands along the
  vicinity of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 15.3 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow morning to a crest of 30.2 feet tomorrow evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage late Tuesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 29.0 feet.

MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neosho River at Oswego.

* WHEN...From Monday morning to late Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 22.5 feet, Riverside Park Drive floods from east of
  Xavier Road, just south of the river gage bridge, to 100 yards
  east towards the water plant.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 8.6 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tomorrow morning to a crest of 21.9 feet Tuesday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

  flooding can be expected.

  - At 8:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 11.7 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.0
    feet early tomorrow afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
