* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southwestern Cleveland County in the Piedmont of North
Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 1215 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 811 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain
have fallen. Rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour have been
observed at times.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Shelby, Boiling Springs NC, Patterson Springs, Lattimore,
Mooresboro, Earl and Cliffside.
- Locations in Boiling Springs along Rockford Road, Cliffside Road,
Patrick Avenue, Mckinney Road, Harrill Road, Franklin Road,
College Avenue, and Ben Jones Road could see nuisance to minor
flooding develop.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
