Luna County in southwestern New Mexico... * WHEN...Until 500 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Numerous road closures due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 139 PM MDT, Bands of moderate to locally heavy rainfall will continue to impact much of south central New Mexico over the next several hours. Reports of flooding continue to increase, especially in poor drainage areas. Low water crossings will be dangerously inundated at times. - This warning replaces Flash Flood Warnings previously in effect for the same area. Going forward, additional Flash Flood Warnings will be issued for more localized, high-end areas of flash flooding as needed. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
