West Central Rensselaer County in east central New York...
South Central Saratoga County in east central New York...
Southeastern Schenectady County in east central New York...
* Until 815 PM EDT.
* At 223 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. The
expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional
rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Rainfall
rates have increased to between a half inch and one
inch per hour, with significant runoff occurring.

Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Clifton Park, Rotterdam, Cohoes,
Watervliet, Rensselaer, Colonie, Latham, Delmar, Guilderland,
Niskayuna, Menands, Green Island, Waterford, Loudonville, East
Glenville, Halfmoon and Verdoy.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
