...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, eastern, and southeast
  Virginia, including the following counties and independent city,
  in central Virginia, Chesterfield, City of Richmond, Hanover and
  Henrico. In east central Virginia, Essex, King William, King and
  Queen and New Kent. In eastern Virginia, Lancaster, Middlesex and
  Northumberland. In southeast Virginia, Gloucester.

* WHEN...Until 445 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 146 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Richmond, New Kent, King William, West Point, Kilmarnock,
    Urbanna, King And Queen Court House, Talleysville, Highland
    Springs, Mechanicsville, Virginia Union University, Virginia
    Commonwealth University, Downtown Richmond, Fair Port,
    University Of Richmond, Bon Air, Tuckahoe, Lancaster, White
    Stone and Little Plymouth.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
